Description
One of the highest quality Japanese knives. This is a Kiritsuke Gyuto type from the Zuiun series, which was produced when manufacturer Sekikanetsugu celebrated its centenary and today still making as the manufacturer’s most popular item.
Seki Kanetsugu has a reputation for its elaborate workmanship, beautiful finish from blade to handle and has a very luxurious feel.
The blade material is 63 layers SPG2(Super Gold 2) Damascus steel. This is the Japanese highest quality stainless steel. The blade is very sharp, sharpness lasts a long time and resistant to rust.
Type of knife : Gyuto
This is the Gyuto knife with a pointed tip. Gyuto is the Japanese version of the classic western chef’s knife. It is a multipurpose kitchen knife used to cut meat, fish and vegetables, and has a longer and narrower blade than Santoku knife. Many professional chef prefer gyuto knife.
